Some people don’t actually dislike journaling — sometimes they’re just too lazy to type, or simply don’t know what to write.
With OneDiary, we’re trying to solve exactly that: let AI help you write your diary.
In version 3.10.1, we introduced two new AI-powered features:
Image to Diary (AI) and AI-Guided Journaling.
1. Image to Diary (AI)
AI has become incredibly powerful. Now, you can simply give it a photo — and let it write a diary entry for you.
No more worrying about what to write or how to write it.
You can access this feature from the right side of the editor toolbar.
After selecting an image, a popup will ask you to enter a prompt. You can describe the tone you want, or add extra context about the image. Once submitted, the AI will generate a diary entry for you.
You’re free to edit or expand on what the AI writes.
Honestly, sometimes the AI writes better than I do — and surprisingly, it often matches what I had in mind.
It’s a small feature, but a fun one.
2. AI-Guided Journaling
Some people like using templates for journaling — usually with predefined questions.
But templates are rigid. They don’t adapt to you.
So instead, why not let AI ask the questions?
AI-Guided Journaling currently has two entry points:
one on the top-right corner of the home screen, and another in the “More” tab.
This feature runs through 5 rounds of Q&A.
You answer, and the AI keeps asking follow-up questions based on your previous responses.
After 5 rounds, the AI summarizes everything and offers some suggestions or encouragement.
The whole process is short and feels more like chatting with a friend than filling out a form.
At the end, you’ll be prompted to save it as a diary entry.
Once saved, it will be tagged as “AI Diary” (the same tag is used for Image to Diary as well), so you can easily find all your AI-generated entries later.
I believe this feature can help people who don’t know what to write —
and also those who have something on their mind, but no one to talk to.
